What is a trickle vent?
A trickle vent is a small ventilation device that is installed on your window or door. It allows fresh air to circulate, even when the windows and doors are closed. This is especially helpful during the winter when you don't want to open your windows. Trickle vents help to remove stale air from your home and prevent condensation and mold, which can have negative effects on your property and health.
Trickle vents are typically found on the window or door frame, or on a separate frame attached to the top of the window or door. They can be opened and closed manually, giving you control over the airflow. The ventilation provided by trickle vents is referred to as 'background ventilation' because of the discreet size and positioning of the vents.
